VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

DNF, as an apex organization of around 300 Dalit NGOs of Nepal, is dedicated for the establishment of Dalit rights and their protection for the last 12 years by launching several projects and programmes across the country. Correspondingly, DNF is all set to implement the project entitled "Establishment of Dalits' Rights in the New Constitution of Nepal" with the support from DanidaHUGOU. To smoothly implement the project, DNF intends to announce the vacancy for the post of Project Coordinator. Henceforth, DNF solicits application from the interested qualified and competent applicants within 20 February 2008.

1. Project Coordinator (1)

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
* Overall responsibilities for successful completion of the project     including implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
* Provide technical and other backstopping to project staff deployed in the field as and
when needed.
* Mobilize, guide, supervise and monitor Project staff.
* Maintain close liaison with the Center, Donor, DDCs, VDCs and other line agencies and local
governance bodies, community-based organizations as necessary.
* Collect, collate and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports to report to
the Center and Donors.
* Link up and coordinate with colleagues, Regional Coordinators and Member Organizations to implement organizational and project activities and provide technical support.

Qualification/Experiences:

Masters degree with 2 years experience or Bachelor degree with five years experience in Social science or any other relevant subject from recognized institution in the relevant field

Correspondingly, DNF is implementing several activities to Establishment of Dalits' Rights in the New Constitution of Nepal through the Constituent Assembly. For smoothly implement theses activities, DNF intends to fill out the vacancies of few professional staffers. Henceforth, DNF solicits application from the interested qualified and competent applicants within 15 January 2008. Posts are as follows:

1. Project Coordinator (1)

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibilities for successful completion of the project including implementation, Monitoring and evaluation.
• Provide technical and other backstopping to project staff deployed in the field as and when needed.

2. Rights and Advocacy Officer (1):-

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Overall responsible for successful implementation of advocacy launching activities,
• Provide technical and other backstopping to project coordinator in the field as and
when needed.
• Maintain close liaison with the Center, Regional Chapters, District Chapters and Member Organizations of the project area.
• Collect, collate and prepare monthly, quarterly and event reports and submit to the project coordinator Regular field visits

Qualification/Experiences:
Bachelors in Social Science, Economics, Law and Development Studies with more than five years experience in the relevant field.

3. Communication and Documentation Officer (1):-

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain communication systems of DNF.
• Regular documentation of overall project activities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual progress reports and submit
to concerned divisions.
• Responsible to collect and disseminate project related information and
Knowledge to the concerned stakeholders.

Qualification/Experiences:
Bachelors in Social Science, Economics, Communications, Journalism, Knowledge Management and Development Studies with more than five years experience in the relevant field.

4. Office Aid (1):-

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in daily official correspondences
• Assist in logistic records keeping
• Assist in maintaining communications and knowledge within inside and outside
• Office
• Assist to maintain vehicles mobility logbook
• Assist to maintain office inventory records
• Assist in regulating office security and environment system

Qualification/Experiences:

Intermediate pass with one year experience in the relevant field. Motor bike driving licensees are encouraged to apply.
